Going to Katahdin this time!

Woohoo! The time is finally here. We fly out today to begin our 442.7 mile hike of New Hampshire and Maine. Nervous and excited. Rumor has it that this is the hardest section of the trail. I guess they saved the "best" for last. Should make for some great stories.  Stay tuned.

Despite concerns on both ends of the airline, the Frakta bags made it just fine carrying our backpacks.

We flew in to Boston, MA and was met by a Facebook acquaintance who worked at the airport who graciously volunteered to take us to White River Junction.

After an great dinner at the Awesome BBQ Restaurant (yes, that is the name of it) beside the Comfort Inn, we were in bed by 8:30 looking forward to getting an early start tomorrow.
