We are looking forward to hiking again--this time from the James River Foot Bridge to Harpers Ferry, VA.
We drove to Three Springs Hostel from Knoxville (daughter's house) on Sunday afternoon. We met Oma and Marsha, the owners of the hostel. This will be their second hiker season to be in operation. They are in a great location, a hostel is much needed in the area.
We arrived just in time to get settled before dinner. Dinner was wonderful - pot roast and potatoes, rice and gravy, sweet potatoes, green salad and bread.
They have a bunk room with a large bathroom attached and also a private loft room with two single beds. Since there were no other hikers there, we slept in the bunkroom in order to be close to the bathroom.
