We met Mark at Snickers Gap to leave the car there. He took us to Ashby Gap to hike north to the car. We started hiking at 8:45.
The roller coaster is a 13.5 mile section with 10 ascents and descents. We accomplished 8 of the 10 today. It was not as bad as we thought it would be until the end when we got tired.
We
exited at Snickers Gap at 4:30 and then drove to Harpers Ferry to the
Econolodge to spend the night.
