Today was warm and sunny with a good view finally. We walked along the east side of the mountain overlooking Luray most of the day. It was hard walking though over a rocky path. There are two or three streams between Rock Spring Hut and Skyland Resort.
Somewhere
along the way, we had the brilliant idea to call ahead to Skyland Resort and
rent a room for the night. Good idea! It
was around $87 plus tax – not bad for a resort. Since we reached it at 2:00, we
had some extra time to rest.
The cabin was nice enough, although down a
steep little path. We ate a good meal at
the restaurant – hamburger and fries for me and fish and chips, fries and
coleslaw for him.
We rested well on a nice bed.
