Main Road Tyringham to stealth camp near Washington Mountain Brook
13.2 miles

We had to leave the motel early today, so Wait-up drove down the road and got breakfast sandwiches and coffee from Dunking Donuts and we ate in our hotel room.  We met Vic Laport and left truck at Greylock Community Club at 7:00.  He drove us down to Tyringham Main Road and we started hiking at 8:20.

The temp is low 40's but we warmed up quick while walking, despite low temps. We only saw the sun poke out a couple of times, but no rain. Hiking not too hard.

We are too early in the season to stay at the Upper Goose Pond Cabin which opens in mid-May.  The cabin offers bunks, fireplace, covered porch, privy, bear box, swimming and tent platforms.  A fireplace sounds really good, no thanks on the swimming.  During season, a caretaker is present.

We stopped at 5:00 somewhere around Washington Mountain Brook to stealth camp.
